Hydrangea grows best and flowers best in semi-shaded and cool places as it likes warmth and humidity. It is resistant to frost and low winter temperatures, but is sensitive to strong winds. Hydrangea can also be planted in coastal areas, as it is resistant to sea hydrocarbons and in soils with relatively high salinity. Hydrangea is an acidophilic plant, like gardenia and camellia, and needs acidic to neutral soil to thrive.
Plant height: 40 to 50 cm
