Cocouffinikas

The coconut tree is the plant that produces the hard but delicious coconuts. It comes from the islands of the Southwest Pacific. In its natural habitat it grows along the tropical coasts under the sun and can reach a height of over 30 metres. When grown indoors it can reach a height of 2.50 metres but it is a slow-growing plant. It has surprisingly tall green foliage that grows from the coconut shell. Its flowering period is in summer, specifically from June to July, giving large inflorescences hanging from the centre of the plant, with numerous yellow or orange flowers. The potted coquina can only be decorative and is not capable of producing coconut.
